Alex Pler wasn’t born in Barcelona or Tokyo, however much he would have liked it. At eleven years old, he was devouring Stephen King books and writing his own Choose Your Own Adventures. He got through adolescence thanks to Aqua’s songs, started dancing to Madonna’s Music, and fell in love several times with the film Before Sunrise as the backdrop. Soon afterward, he embarked on the following odyssey: opening a bookstore. With his mother, he opened Haiku, specializing in Japanese literature. This is where he now spends his days, selling books by his beloved Haruki Murakami.
