Francesco Tonucci

Francesco Tonucci has been one of the most important references in pedagogy for decades and is renowned today for his research into childhood, which has earned him the title of “childologist.” A researcher at the Psychology Institute of the National Research Council (CNR) in Rome, he has devoted his professional life to studying children’s thinking and behavior in the family, academic, and urban setting, always through “a child’s eyes.” He is the creator of Frato, a character whose project is to look at the world through the eyes of children, giving a voice to children who normally don’t speak, and denouncing in their name the mistakes that we adults commit with them.
